(I) Curriculum status Metalworking practice is an important practical basic course in the teaching plan of Engineering Specialty in Colleges and universities. It is one of the important practical teaching links in the process of training students'comprehensive quality. (II) Curriculum objectives 1. To enable students to preliminary contact with the actual production, understand the production process of mechanical products, understand the basic knowledge of engineering materials processing, can carry out preliminary process design for processing parts, and can process mechanical parts involving multiple types of processing; 2. To make students initially establish engineering consciousness, improve their engineering quality and enhance their engineering practice ability. We should initially cultivate students' good professional ethics, such as teamwork and abiding by rules and disciplines; we should also cultivate students' basic professional qualities such as serious and conscientious work attitude, the ability to bear hardships and stand hard work, as well as the spirit and ability of innovation, that is, to cultivate the craftsman spirit with dedication, lean, focus and innovation as the basic connotation.
